Bombshell - O escándalo. Me intriga. 😨 quiero ver estos tres talentos desenvolverse. Charlize Theron me encanta. Es tan talentosa. Siempre es un placer verla. Gran actriz. I believe it. Bombshell is defienetly film with strong message that in some ways works and in some it doesnt,starting with good staff, mostly everyone give good performances maybe even award winning,except mckinnon who was again for me annoying to watch and listen,but at least she isnt completly horriable and she had some good moments,also entire story was told in good way but in the end it could be explored little more,for me bad staff was in that some plot parts were dragging and they werent so important to story by that i mean whole plot with robbie and mckinnon characters and some political messages didnt hit a land on me.

As I stare at the blank page on my laptop, I can’t help but get distracted by the birds chirping away in front of me. My new life in Australia started pretty well with great housemates and a cold Autumn. One of my housemates breeds lovebirds—not only because she likes them but also because they make good money. She’s been doing it for a while now, and so it wasn’t my place to comment or raise eyebrows. She’s even sold a few birds, for about 20 dollars each. Not a bad deal, I thought when I first heard of it. But the more I observe, the more I’m reconsidering. The marketer in me has begun evaluating the return on my housemate’s investment. Considering bird feed, the cage, nursing the eggs, nurturing the young, the cleaning efforts, and the constant attention, breeding and maintaining birds is an arduous task for which 20 dollars seems a laughable loss. But it’s her business, and she’s been doing it long before I was in the picture. So I held my silence. However, as I watched the birds today (for lack of anything else to do), I started wondering why people paid, however much they did, to own these birds. Why would anyone pay money in exchange for years of caring and, in a sense, servitude to birds they could crush in seconds? Beauty—that’s the obvious answer to most problematic questions. But that can’t be all. Some people, like my housemate, look at it from a severe business perspective. Of course, she loves the little chirpers and caresses them in her palms, cooing and cuddling even when not so appropriate. She likes spending her time with and for them. But when it’s time to give them up, she’s ready for the next batch. Some others treat bird raising as a hobby. But even they who look at bird raising as a pleasurable activity still spend a lot of time, energy, and money on maintenance—which makes me wonder why. Why would they expend so many resources to observe caged creatures that grow so finicky the moment you make a sudden movement around them. I only switched my crossed legs, and the two birds in the cage wailed out as if I were slaughtering them. Their behaviour is understandable, too. If I’d been locked up all my life and only given food on certain days and times in a day, I’d become paranoid also. I’d feel so tortured in my mind that I won’t be able to think straight or trust anyone enough to share a conversation. How is it then, I wonder, still watching the flustered birds, that someone who acquires these birds, makes them sick, and gains pleasure in watching them every day isn’t a troubled soul themselves?

That way it won’t knock you down. ” That advice has been a metaphor for me throughout recovery, reminding me that humility and surrender are not evidence of weakness, but of courage. They are also the biggest windows one can open to allow grace to enter one’s life. So this morning I am letting the waves of grief wash over me. On Wednesday I went to their house to remove anything that burglars might want and to bag up what might need laundering. I filled the hatch of my car with boxes of files, anything that looked like an important document. I left the four leaf bags full of laundry on the living room floor. I put two leaf bags full of ruined bedding in the trash. On Thursday I went back and removed boxes of photos, more documents, stacks of mail, folios of papers: my dad’s military records, my mom’s notebooks. I went home and began looking for the money. A memory care facility for both of them is going to be expensive. By Saturday afternoon I had it all sorted. I had discarded enough paper to fill the garbage cart: junk mail, magazines, empty envelopes. Mom’s carefully collected recipes are on the kitchen table. Boxes of cancelled checks and insurance policies and medical records litter the living room floor. My parents never owned a computer. My dad has an Underwood typewriter that uses a ribbon. Among his stuff I found a box of typewriter erasers and brushes and several packs of carbon paper. As I type this I am thinking that some of my readers will not know what these things are, and I can feel them Googling now. Grammy & Grampy are both patients in the hospital. Both have dementia. She doesn’t remember why they are there, and she keeps trying to take him home. Doc says they are trying to keep the #lovebirds together. ❤️ “Have they ever been apart? ” my brother asked. “In the ’60s Dad went on active duty for two weeks, ” I replied. I took my parents some clothing during visiting hours. They were sitting in the hall with another patient, in chairs lined against the wall across from the nurses’ station. Mom now talks of nothing else but caring for Dad. His welfare is her only need. She asked me to help her find a place for them to live. When she began to weep, I cradled her. She rested her head on my shoulder like a little girl and quieted. Her body felt like delicate glass that might shatter at any second. Gently prodding Dad awake, she said, “Look who’s here. ” Dad slowly brought me into focus and smiled. He was too groggy to speak, but he winked at me. To this day it thrills me when he does that. Mom rose from her chair to wipe his lips with a corner of his blanket. She smoothed his hair and kissed him on the mouth. “We want to keep the lovebirds together, ” their doctor said. Yes. It’s just that he puts himself at risk so often. The other thing is he has always been sort of reclusive and with each passing year leaves home less and less. He is anxious when my mother leaves him. And she is anxious when she leaves him as well. She used to go out once a week and play cards and volunteer at the church but she has pretty much given up her social life to run around after him. Decades ago my brother offered to build them a house near him where he lives, which is about 30-40 min from where they are now. We’ve pleaded with them to move out of that house they live in now, that they bought in 1969. It’s on a steep hill, so the driveway is as well. Both front and back steps are tiny little concrete pads with no handrails — the back is especially dangerous. My Mom suffers from vertigo and recently fell coming down the attic stairs, knocking my Dad on the floor. She sprained her ankle and he hit his head on the tile. I think you get the picture. Then there’s the mental illness part of this. My mother is afraid of doctors and mistrusts all medication. So she tinkers with both Dad’s and her own drugs. She only takes a fourth of her antidepressant and she takes it like a tranquilizer. She cannot comprehend that it’s not that, nor a narcotic, and that it needs to be taken just like her blood pressure medicine. She has dismissed sitters, who would at least make sure they got their meds and would get her out of the house now and then. She is unwilling to go up against Dad, who doesn’t want to move, to get them into at least a retirement community, OFF THAT DAMN HILL. She calls us in turn, telling us all that no one else pays any attention to her (we all check in regularly) to say that she is very sick. Yet when we manage to squeeze out 2-3 hours from our schedule to make the trip to visit, she either disappears into the kitchen or the bedroom or sits down and tells us every thing is fine. This makes both of us crazy, and simply mystifies the rest of the family. So my brother woke me up last week worried about Mom, and after investigation it was determined that she’s simply now picked him as her current rescuer. She’s even called my ex from time to time. It’s insane, and my brother and I have just had about enough. So I took a day to talk to my peeps and even went to the church and ended up having a pastor pray with me. But I think we have a rough plan in place, and have agreed to intervene with Mom and Dad AS A FAMILY, which is something new for us. Mom has always been the gatekeeper of all the family relationships and she has always been threatened whenever any one of us appeared to have a relationship that didn’t include her. She is very controlling while appearing sweet and guileless. She’s a master manipulator. While she and Dad have very real issues that concern us all, she has sabotaged any attempts of aid, pits us against each other and has succeeded in alienating us all from each other until just the last few years. It’s a real testament to her, though, because she’s always ensured that we meet at her house at least half a dozen times a year or more for family dinners, and over the years at least we remember who each other are. And we love each other, all of us, through thick or thin, through the spats and the silent treatment. We are family, and we all have that value in common – we stick together.

It is movie that starts great, however fails to deliver in the end.
The main monster feels like a "Silent hill" game or movie borrowing.
In general this entire narrative would fit a Video game rather than a movie. A strong woman takes her gun in order to protect her family, later on a "bulb head" monster appears and supposedly dies in fire. No plots, no twists, no beautiful nature scences - just a good old movie about a monster praying on people in a remote location.
I do not understand all the good reviews. I do see how fans of the genre could give it 5, 6 or even 7 for good efforts.
But for the rest of us this movie is nearly unwatchable. Unfortunately, because the opening scenes got me intrigued.

See, I was one of those kids who would get curious about whatever and look it up. Over the course of my time as a 12-14 year old, I looked up tons of terrible stuff in an attempt to understand it, from drugs, to crime, to (regular) porn, to terrorism, etc. The only thing that I looked up that happened to be a felony was child porn. So yeah. Basically what happened, is as follows. Full disclosure, even though I am so ashamed of myself. I was whacking off to normal porn, when I encountered "barely legal" teen porn, the thought of which makes me want to throw up today, I might add, and stopped and thought, well, if thats legal porn, what's illegal porn? (By this time, I had stopped whacking off and was merely in a state of stupid curiosity) I knew it involved minors (I assumed older teenagers), but I didn't quite wrap my head around the full weight of what I was about to see... until I went on google images, and typed in various things that essentially synonymous to child porn, and after a typing in a few different things... most of the searches didn't return anything, one site (which was fucked up) was essentially people posting pictures of their GF's nudes, and thankfully, there was a payment page that I didn't know how to bypass, and ended up seeing a picture of a girl who was probably 16 naked on that front page [1st image I saw] AND THEN... on the next search... I was confronted with an image (yes, not even on the deep web, straight up google images! I didn't even know what tor or the deep web was back then) which I will not describe, but I'll just say that now, as a legal and law abiding adult, if I came face to face person who did abused the child in the image, I would probably go to jail for beating them to the point where they would require plastic surgery [CP Picture #2 that I saw. ] Needless to say, I was scarred. I didn't understand why that would ever happen. I remember crying myself to sleep that night; I remember being traumatized by the scene depicted in that image, and the thought of it still makes me want to throw up on occasion. But being a mentally resilient 12 year old, I forgot about the incident, and didn't even think about what happened until years later... allow me to explain... Seeing said picture has lead me hate myself on and off for years, and at one point triggered about a year of prolonged psychological agony. As I grew older, just about when I turned 16 or so, I became very interested in criminal law and read everything I could on just about every type of crime I could. I wanted to understand crime and try to understand why people were capable of committing terrible acts upon one another. Well, of course, I at some point I came across the criminal statutes regarding the various different offenses that fall under child pornography. Up until this point, I didn't fully grasp that merely looking at a picture was a crime. Sure, if you had asked me what I thought about people abusing children, or people whacking off to the thought or pictures of abused children, or even by that time, people who had posted their GFs nudes for the world to see, I'd say that that was super fucked up, and that whoever was looking at child porn for sexual gratification was sick in the mind, I never really thought that just the fact that merely looking up CP, not whacking to it, finding it revolting, and promptly closing the tab and clearing my history and cache, could be considered a crime. So at the age of 16, I learned that I had violated federal and state law, making me potentially guilty of "access with intent to view" of child porn. I was devastated, and worse yet, that image that I forgot about 3 or 4 year prior flooded right back into my brain, and it has haunted me on or off ever since. When I found out, I honestly tried to get myself punished/arrested, because I was so disgusted with myself, but when I walked into my high school guidance department and requested a meeting with our crisis counselor, and told her what had happened... she tried to paint it as if I WAS the victim, for being subjected to such an image at such an age, whether or not I had looked it up on my own free will. I then asked her if I we could meet with the Resource Officer (School Cop), and I confessed to him everything that had happened, and I was sure that I'd be leaving in handcuffs, but lo and behold... nope. He said that I clearly wasn't a criminal and that nobody would press charges on my actions. I told my parents what had happened, and once again, I wasn't criminally responsible. My response was essentially, WHAT THE FUCK, I SEARCHED CHILD PORN, WHY AM I NOT FACING A GRAND JURY INCITEMENT RIGHT NOW? ) And then I just cried, for days. I knew I had broken the law technically, and it felt bad then (and fuck, now i'm tearing up) but the worse part was that I didn't, and sometimes I still forget and beat myself up about it, that in order to be guilty id need to have had criminal intent, (ie to view pictures of children being abused knowing it was illegal, doing so for the purpose of sexual gratification)... but sometimes I still feel reconsider the meaning of "intent" in my head and wonder if I'm a criminal. Am I? Am I the felon who committed a child sex abuse crime, by being an accessory to viewing that image? Or was I a child victim for being exposed to that in the first place? Or am I both? I want to know so I can put my mind to rest. I'm writing this post today to get this off my chest (I will also be x-posting this to r/OffMyChest, so I can see what peoples views are on my actions from a non-legal standpoint).
